To save energy, you just have to replace the old bulb, or light up less, without wasting, or rationalize the switching on/off, or adjust it and use it, where it’s really required and in the right quantity. Useful actions to reduce consumption are varied and often very simple and quickly repaid. However, the benefit can be nullified if the quality of light gets worse. We have a good sight if we can see the colours well, if we don’t strain our eyes, if there are no reflections, glare or dazzle.
A poor lighting quality causes discomfort and unforeseen expenses, that could nullify the benefits obtained if we consider the energy-saving issue only.
