Nomadic furnishings for new ways of working.

Names that evoke professional nomadism and a raw image millennials love. Vagabond and Motus refer to new informal and shared workplaces, coworking and third spaces.
The furnishings and accessories that Materia, a Kinnarps Group’s brand, launched at Stockholm Furniture Fair are designed for fluid ways of working in order to respond to new needs in a flexible way.

Vagabond and Motus: these names are a tangible declaration of intent. Stressed by a refined set that placed them in a rude, post-industrial space featured with an urban mood. The perfect setting for the new products designed by Marie Oscarsson for Materia, one of the Kinnarps Group brands.

What distinguishes the Vagabond table from others is its diversity. The wheels make it easy to move and it can for instance be used as a meeting table and a desk. It can also be a dining table in a canteen or in a restaurant. The table ends act as notice boards and the accompanying magnets may be used to hang pictures, messages or sketches directly onto the frame. There is also a rod at the top that can be used to hang lights, plants or other interior fittings on. Nothing is pre-established to enhance the personal creativity.

Inspired by the Louis Sullivan’s maxim “Form follows Function” this stool is defined by its function. The curved upholstered seat gives extra comfort and its design allows you to either sit upright or astride like on a saddle. The stool – available high or low- is fitted with castors for a more active and mobile way of sitting.
