The Color of the Year 2017 by Pantone is Greenery: the shade of the grass at the first days of spring. A revitalizing and refreshing color that symbolizes a new beginning, when the nature renews. a very symbolic color that reflects the need to live in balance with the nature and the respect for the Planet and eco-sustainable visions.
Every December, Pantone Color Institute choices the Color of the Year: it is a symbolic selection, a colored focus on the expression of the main attitude and mood in our global culture.
“Greenery burst forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment. Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalize, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose”. explains Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute.
Greenery (15-0343 is its number) is nature’s neutral. The more submerged people are in modern life, the greater their innate craving to immerse themselves in the physical beauty and inherent unity of the natural world.
This concept is globally reflected by a lot of elements expressive of Greenery in our daily lives from urban planning to architecture, from design to lifestyle.
