BTicino has won the prestigious award Compasso d’Oro ADI (Golden Compass) for the third time, the first in the “Exhibition Design” category, for the installation “Slim and White Axolute Code”, a project by Migliore+Servetto Architetti Associati.
The Slim & White Axolute Code installation project was selected from the 2011 ADI Design Index, “Exhibition Design” category, and was awarded one of the 20 Compasso d’Oro assigned by the Jury of the 23rd edition of this important competition.
This one-day installation, designed by Migliore + Servetto Architetti Associati, was set up in Milan on 15th June 2010 for the presentation of two models in the Axolute line, and encouraged visitors to immerse themselves fully into the new product concepts: monochrome white and thinness.
The spaces with walls covered by 1200 books and pages moved by fans invited the visitor to make a sensorial discovery of new products. The designers created a visual and spatial route in which the products were presented through their specific characteristics: the ultra-thin Axolute Etèris, a sleek square plate and the absolute whiteness of Axolute white, a monochromatic range with four different material options, all rigorously white.
This year BTicino has also received another important acknowledgement: the Mention of Honour in the “Packaging” category, which was awarded to the Case for Livinglight Individual Plates.

BTicino had already been awarded the Compasso d’Oro ADI for its Living series (1989) and its MyHome integrated system (2001). This year, the Company has confirmed once more its ability to develop innovative and functional technological solutions, as well as devoting great care to expressing contemporary taste and to design.
