The office is a dynamic set to foster social relations and if it gives the possibility to share a drink or a bite it gets convivial and cheerful; but even the kitchen turns into something new when it contains some components of the working environment.
The office is changing and enables conviviality in an informal meeting, a snack break or during lunch-time. So the kitchen, too, is planned to allow a smart worker to use their devices while preparing dinner and to suit the new ergonomic and functional standards; so we have a height-adjustable worktop, just like a desk, to fit the user’s height, to be either dinner table or workplace.
At Eurocucina Estel has applied these concepts in the lively units of Coffice and Work in Casa. Different settings designed with SmartOffice-SmartLiving collections.
Also, the new line “Isola” was specially carried out for the purpose. To meet two functions: quick snack and meeting. Formed by two tables (desk + table available in different heights 75 or 90 cm), spared by a central volume equipped with small appliances such as toaster or microwave, coffee maker and top access for recharge your devices.
A perfect kitchen-workplace integration could be seen at String’s, the Sweden company presented at Salone del Mobile a wide range of minimal and strict shelves and storage units.
The Danish company Hay, too, has displayed at Pelota an iper-modular system of shelves, with horizontal or vertical development, completed with tables, brackets and other components suitable for all kinds of environment, from the office to the kitchen.
