Domus, the international architecture and design magazine presents “Voices”, a video installation designed with Studio Azzurro to bestow a sentimental map of the city to the international public of the Fuorisalone.
A multicoloured collage of stories and evocations expressed by architects, designers, entrepreneurs, craftsmen, professionals, start-up creators, authors of new visions, artists in the music, poetry, theatre and performance field, but even by the common people who live in Milan day by day. And Milan becomes a standard of world cities. The voices of Elio Fiorucci, Patricia Urquiola, Jane Reeve, Giulio Iacchetti, Chiara Alessi, Manolo De Giorgi, Anna Foppiano, Ruth Shammah and many other exponents of design and architecture and of the art world in general are among the dozens which have wished to work alongside Domus in this “listening” project.
The thoughts and words of the city will be broadcasted under the careful and captivating direction of Studio Azzurro in a maxi screen set up in the centre of the Conservatory courtyard. A hot air balloon which is going to be anchored 40 metres above the Conservatory will be the symbol of man’s view of the city. A symbolic eye which will send, as if there were interferences between faces and words, pictures of the city from above, and will record lights, colours, liveliness and movements at all times of the day.
