Design, art, web and multimedia integrated in an installation-event, leaving the boundaries of virtuality and enters the reality by creating a collective artwork: Witness your World. We will be involved in this new way of working in Milan at Lombardini22’s space that hosts a selection of works by Leroy Brothers.

Lombardini22 is setting up its office with a selection of Leroy Brothers artworks, in collaboration with the Spazioborgogno Art Gallery. The event is created by a new artistic collaboration between the Milan design firm and Spazioborgogno: a prolific exchange between two entities living in the same area of Mesopotamia Milanese, who come from different worlds and believe in the contamination, in the hybridization, in the grafts that reinforce genetically.

For the Leroy Brothers -one of the most interesting Belgian collectives in the current international scene- this has always been the way to interact with the art world. Active mainly on the web, but also working with installations and exhibitions in public and private spaces, the Leroy Brothers have contributed to expand the boundaries of both the aesthetic sphere and the concept of authorship by delegating to the audience the direct participation of the art projects.
Since 2006, Leroy Brothers have been developing the Social Network Witness your World, a platform, which aims to be a mirror of our contemporary society, a witness of our times. They believe that artists are the best in knowing how to catch their time and to represent it in the art.
The social web platform produces artworks elaborated by algorithms departing from the contributions of those who decide to participate. The subject of the images and messages that appear on Witness your World functions as a free reflection on society, in opposition to other and codified forms of storytelling, which we face on a daily basis. Any contribution can be uploaded on the website by those who want to be involved in the recording of time dimensions in which we live and take part to the formation of a collective work. The result is a multiplicity of points of view, realised by a various and vast number of individuals.
