The young and dynamic studio WOK, not scared by the low budget for the renovation of its own office, has targeted interventions of self using poor materials and recovery. The bookcase on the ground floor in fact is constructed by boxes for the apple harvest retrieved and assembled together. The environment is cosy and lively.
The loft is located in a former industrial complex in the Bovisa district in Milan. Thanks to the presence of the campus of the Polytechnic of Milan, the neighborhood in recent years has become a center full of young creative architecture, design and photography.
The loft is on the ground floor and has a small garden in front of the large windows positioned to the south. The internal height is about 5m and allows you to have a mezzanine area. On the ground floor there is a meeting area, a long block library and services. On the first floor there is a large work wooden table, metal plane models integrated with the parapet and a bookcase/print area hidden by a curtain.
The mezzanine is characterized by a bul black rubber flooring. Meeting space at the entrance has a mat synthetic gray floor while the first floor working area has a natural wood floor boards.
