On the occasion of the Take Your Dog to Work Day (June 20th), we tell the story of Mr. Alex Schaerer, USM’s CEO, and his “monsieur” dog Jack, a Jack Russell Terrier that since 10 years ago goes with him to work.
“Well, when the dog was young and a cute puppy, it was quite a happening when I took him to the office. tells Mr Schaerer- Especially for my employees, when he destroyed things like binders, papers etc… This was more than ten years ago… At the beginning, it was amusing. Nowadays, it is normal and easy-going – for me and the dog”.
Your company allows dog, or other pets, at work?
Not really… due to the fact that we all work in an open space, this would maybe result in chaos.
What is the “feeling” inside workplace regarding the presence of the dogs?
I strongly believe that dogs in offices may contribute to a good working environment, but it is certainly not the most important factor…
