The Fondazione Ermanno Casoli was set up in 2007 with the aim of fostering the relationship between the worlds of art and industry, by promoting initiatives in which contemporary art becomes a tool that contributes to improving working environments by promoting innovative processes. The Foundation (directed by Deborah Carè, brand communication manager of Elica with the art director Marcello Smarrelli) leads artists within the companies where they realize, along with the employees, artistic projects in a mutual exchange.
An example of the collaboration between art and business promoted by the FEC is Aspiranti Aspiratori, a project by the italian artist Sissi, that stems from the need of Elica to generate new reflections on the theme of air purification. From July 6th to August 15th, 2013, Aspiranti Aspiratori will be exposed on a solo show of the artist at the Aike-Dellarco gallery in Shanghai.
Another intiative recently launched by the FEC is Working is Networking, a project by the artist and film maker Marinella Senatore with a group of managers of ACRAF, a leading company in the wellbeing and health sector. The participants, led by the artist, have made a short film in which they were invited to stage their own vision of the work with the problems and future prospects connected to it. The project was carried out in collaboration with the M&D company, specializing in the training and development of human resources.
