Beyond Total Compensation: Tangible and intangible aspects of rewarding.

That’s the topic discussed at the yearly conference of Great Place to Work taking place in Milan on March 25th.

The conference is an important opportunity to meet and have a debate and also to celebrate the companies, that ranked high at Best Workplaces Italia.

The traditional vision of how to handle the work relations, aims at a rewarding system including wage package and competitive bonus, relying on the ordinary levers: fixed pay, variable pay and benefits. In the past few years more factors have come into play besides the mere pay, such as opportunities of developemnt and training and factors related to the working environment, the corporate atmosphere and the work-life balance (ergonomics and quality of offices, forms of flexibility, etc.). So the concept of  “total compensation” opens out to more intangibile and soft factors.

Companies present at the panel: Cisco Systems, ConTe.it, Eli Lilly, EMC2 (TBC), Gruppo Dow, IKEA, In Job, Leroy Merlin, Microsoft, PepsiCo, sanofi, SAS, Tetra Pak Packaging Solutions, Welcome Italia.
