The exhibition “Grattanuvole” (Clouds-Scrapers) at Fondazione Riccardo Catella formation of Milan skyline during the last century through 80 skyscrapers that characterize the architectural identity of Milan. A wonderful opportunity to appreciate the significance of the new Business Centers and historic office towers where is possible to live and work “among clouds”.
The exhibition, curated by Alessandra Coppa Professor of History of Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano and promoted by the Politecnico di Milano, remembers a century of high-rise buildings in Milan: the “Clouds-Scraper” by engineer Achille Manfredini (1910), through futurist projects by architect Antonio Sant’Elia and futuristic technological virtuosity by Cesar Pelli, to the Porta Nuova project that form the new skyline of Milan, the core of the exhibition.
