Masters degree students at Milan’s Iulm University will get a chance to learn about the way the world of work has changed from Mark Catchlove, a guru of workplace, Director of Knowledge and Insight at Herman Miller, leading office furniture manufacturer and pioneer of the modern workplace.
Mark Catchlove has been employed in the office interiors industry for over 30 years, and joined Herman Miller in 1998. During that time Mark as delivered more than 500 seminars across the EMEA region. These include speaking at conferences as well as tailored presentations for occupiers in the public and private sector.
He quotes “Research has proven that by changing the office environment to reflect an organisation’s character and purpose, the office worker becomes more engaged; leading to greater prosperity for both the individual and the whole. It’s time to re-define work”.
Working with anthropologists, psychologists, ergonomists and designers, Herman Miller identified something greater than products – a methodology and philosophy designed to inspire employees, increase productivity and engagement and embody a company’s culture. This is Living Office.
This seminar is great opportunity for future designers, product managers and architects to learn more about the way the work of work has changed, and how companies need to adapt to the change.
