The swiss creativity exceeds the boundary of Swiss Pavilion at EXPO 2015. From September 4 to 30, the exhibition “The taste of Design” (Il Gusto del Design) at Istituto Svizzero in Milan offers a selection of over than 30 industrial products on food design: prototypes, ideas, packaging and graphic design, related with the theme of EXPO. Some of the products exhibited are perfect for workplace, too.
“Il Gusto del Design”, promoted by Canton Vaud, is a special edition of “Les Espaces du design”, an annual selection of swiss design, curated by the magazine Espaces Contemporains and Design Days, cultural association created to organize and support exhibitions about contemporary culture and design.
Among the works on display, we should mention Essenza, the well-known coffeemaker created for Nespresso by Les Ateliers du Nord (the industrial design studio composed of Antoine Cahen, Philippe Cahen, Claude Frossard and the graphic artist Werner Jeker),
Sodastream, the functional sparkling water maker designed by Yves Béhar (the famous designer from Lausanne who has lived and worked in San Francisco for years, where he founded Fuseproject, an agency that works with Puma, Herman Miller and other international brands).
The Glass Project, a 250 pieces limited edition by Sigg that enhances with glass the famous aluminium thermos.
Ecal Terroir, mobile display for food by Workshop Head & Ecal, suitable for inside and outdoor.
