Starting from the idea of creating a Zen garden in which instead of the bamboo pipes we will place Plexiglas tubes made of soft Powder Coatings, and on the walls a tour between wall paintings and metallic finishes. The result will be a feeling of warmth that our products will offer you with new finishes.
The project of the AkzoNobel installation for Materials Village 2018 was developed with the support of Sikkens, (AkzoNobel Decorative Coatings brand) and the Aesthetic Center of Sassenheim which realized Color Futures 2018 research and book.
On April 19th a Lunch&Learn will be organized: Mrs. Heleen Van Gent, Creative Director AkzoNobel Global Aesthetic Center Decorative Paints, Mrs. Claudia Salomoni, Specification Advisor and Marketing Coordinator, and Mrs. Benedetta Steri, Key Account Specifiers Team Manager, will step in and the summit will be moderated by Renata Sias, director and editor of WOW! It’s been 20 years since AkzoNobel l launched the first Collection Futura, as well as 15 years of fruitful collaboration with trend experts PeclersParis.
The Collection Futura, which is updated every three years, was the first innovative range entirely dedicated to the architecture sector, as well as the first collection of powder coatings to offer Sablé effect. Even today, the Sablé effect is the most successful finish in Powder Coatings industry for high-level design, both in furnishings and in façades.
Among the references: Mission Hospital (California) and Bridgewater Hall (Manchester). After 21 years, the results showed no color change and gloss retention visible to the human eye.
Collection Futura 2018-2021 is presented in 4 themes.
Glam City includes intense, dark tones centered on reds, blues and greens; the inspiration is more classical and chic, and the mood is precious and sophisticated.
Time Out is represented by light tones based on colored whites and soft neutrals; is based on the fact that it has become urgent and essential in our daily life to reconnect with the natural elements.
Treasured Light offers shades like brass, pink gold, pale copper and silver; softer metallic color tones and finishes are the new must have, transforming our everyday life with elegance and creating new basics marked with discreet preciousness.
Wild Nature features earthy browns, peaty khakis, anthracite greys and charcoal blacks; a new version of rustic style with daring, experimental, contemporary aesthetics.
