
A major exhibition of cutting-edge design featuring more than 30 international brands, all housed within the stunning surrounds of Casa dell’Opera: Designjunction edit Milan reaches across two floors of an old school and theatre building showcasing the very best lighting, furniture, accessories an pioneering technology.
Designjucntion is the core of the San Babila Design Quarter and one of the most interesting exhibition of the Design Week 2015.

Here are the most interesting things we have seen.
1, Tilt Globe, Nyta. Nyta is a young german lighting brand, presenting his innovative Tilt Globe, a spherical edition of their award-winning light, Tilt. It works like a cupped reflector that you can freely move around the light source, thus gathering the light and directing it towards the space or object you want to illuminate.
The matt finish of the metal shade, the guiding peg made from stainless steel as well as the cloth-covered cord are made for a high-quality and classy appearance in every conceivable environment.
2, 3 Desktop Collection, Beyond Object. The london based design studio Beyond Object is specialise in exquisite and sculptural desktop objects, accessories and tableware. The latest desktop collection, presented for the first time in Milan,
includes a tape dispenser, pen pot, pencil sharpener, and a letter knife.
4, Halo Chair, Hypetex. Hypetex is the world’s first coloured carbon fibre brand. It has been developed by Formula One engineers, with over 20 years of experience of working with carbon fibre. Halo Chair represents their first product and is an exceptional limited-edition piece, winner of the 2015 Red Dot Award.
5,6 The Green Room, Uk Trade & Investment. Returning for its second year, the Green Room is a multi-brand showcase, an interior design project where design and creativity meet eco-sustainability. Particular attention deserve the lamp by Anglepois, Benchmark, Donald Baugh and Design by Nico.
7, UC 01 USB, Punkt. Punkt. create expertly designed consumer technology to simplify life. UC 01 USB charging station is their lastest launch, designed by British industrial designer, Jasper Morrison. The compact desktop system enables high speed charging and supports up to three devices simultaneously.
8, We Do Wood. Danish brand based on the vision that eminent design and strict sustainability principles should go hand in hand, We Do Wood introduces three new designs at Designjunction edit Milan: Field Desk, Coat Frame (on the left in the picture with SJ Bookcase e Geo’s Table) and Octagone.
9, 10 Theatre/The Cinema, Tom Dixon. The eccentric exhibition of the iconic British design brand has transformed the old theatre into a dramatic presentation, The Cinema: an interactive show highlighting the design brand’s latest lighting and furniture through a series of interactive installations. The lamps Etch (second picture) are crafted from brass, inspired by the logic of pure geometry. Melt ( first picture) is a distorted lighting globe that creates a mesmerizing melting hot blown glass effect. The chair Wingback is a series of British classics re-mastered, inspired by two seating archetypes such as the 17th century wingback and its sibiling 18th century baloon back.
