USM will be present at 14th Biennale di Venezia “Fundamentals”with three sponsorships: Deutscher Werkbund, Fundaciò Mies Van der Rohe e Salon Suisse. All three installations will take place in beautiful palaces in the city and will be fitted with USM Furniture.
Salon Suisse: “The next 100 Years. Scenarios for an Alpine City State”

“Salon Suisse” ( curator Hosoya Schaefer Architects) is a talks and event programme complementing Switzerland’s national participation at Biennale di Venezia. It is initiated by the Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia.
Within the Salon Suisse the Swiss architecture magazine “werk, bauen + wohnen” will have a special exhibition to celebrate their 100th anniversary. All the hardback copies from the last century will be presented in a special library for which USM Switzerland will loan the furniture.
Fundaciò Mies Van der Rohe: “Made in Europe”
Palazzo Michiel, Strada Nova, 4391, Venezia.
The exhibition (Director: Giovanna Carnevali, Curator: Celia Marìn Vega) aims to show the importance of the last 25 years of architecture in Europe based on the data from the archive gathered by the Fundació Mies Van der Rohe. The installation is going to present a selection of 193 models and a visualization of the 2500 proposals that conform the 25 years of awards, representing a curate selection of the best works of architecture. USM hast delivered the structures to showcase the models ( used last year in Barcelona) and the installation will then travel further.
Deutscher Werkbund: “This is modern”
Palazzo Ca’tron, Santa Croce 1957, Venezia.
The German Werkbund shows, in celebration of the centennial jubilee of the German Werkbund exhibition, an event in Venice (curators: Kai Gehrmann, Paul Kahlfeldt, Claudia Kromrei, Hans-Dieter Nägelketo the leading question of contemporary architecture and design. 22 present architecture offices in the public perception in Germany were pleased to show their position and approach through a draft assignment.
