With a centuries-old experience in designing and producing furnishings able to responding to the constantly evolving trends of the office and new workstyles, Sedus addresses today the issue of privacy in open plan office with se: cube, a new working-shelter -so called Office Pod- designed by Falk Blümler of the Sedus Design Team. It will be launched at Orgatec 2018 (hall 8, stand B50).
Although the trend of the open plan office is still valid in terms of space optimization, many studies demonstrate that the lack of privacy and low acoustic condition can generate stress, lack of attention and a significant reduction in attention and productivity.
Even the monotony of the huge traditional open spaces is not functional for the new ways of working: employees need stimulating and lively environments to feel creative and active.
In addition, the new ways of working, set on collaboration and sharing, require small meeting areas, acoustically protected, for brief and frequent meetings of a few people.
The new Sedus office cubes offer a professional and effective remedy. Available in Small, Medium, and Large sizes, the cubes provide high acoustic quality and the perfect environment for formal and informal meetings, focused work, and simply a moment of relaxation.
Their clever dimensions mean they are easy to integrate into existing office landscapes, with sufficient space for movement and interaction to support brainstorming, training, and other activities.
All of the cubes, including the Large-size (2.5 x 2.5 m), can be set up, dismantled and moved in record time when they are needed elsewhere.
The se:cube inside design also incorporates spaces to place laptops, writing pads, and pens. Even the inner walls are designed to be used as vertical, writeable surfaces.
The wide range of optional equipment configurations to meet every kind of need.
Everything from state-of-the-art communication methods to professional video technology has been carefully integrated right from the start. Even the ventilation and lighting are fully automated.
