Spectacular installations (and high investments ..). Real temporary architectures because participating in Orgatec is offering the photography of your company, of your own vision and also the way to address the issues of the workplace. Thats why the stand not only have the function to present the new products in the best way, but to express philosophies and corporate strategies; and often slogans and claims also play an important role in communication.
The Orgatec motto “Culture at Work” and the theme of the 2018 exhibition “New Vision of Work” have been well expressed and interpreted in very different ways by the exhibitors.
The larger stands obviously first attract attention and can identify some opposing strands: the complexity in the articulation of concepts and solutions or -on the contrary- the maximum minimalism and the focus on one or a few products (Wilhahn, Okamura).
There are also two opposing views between traditional luxury image (Poltrona Frau) and careful basic scenography (Vitra) also for high range companies.
Reflections emerge in terms of eco-sustainability: the awareness of the waste of architectures that have a week of life suggests green-oriented companies to choose modular installations that can be re-used (Alias).
Congratulations to the amazing stands able to be innovative even using few and re-usable materials (Molo, Camira).
Colored niches (Sitland + Sinetica, Caimi Brevetti, Fritz Hansen) and curtains (Caimi + Snowsound, BuzziSpace, Norman Copenhagen, Svensson) are recurrent elements in installations that highlight the increasingly predominant use even in real interiors.
Sometimes the boundary between installation and real product is not evident: acoustic shelters, office pods and fluid textiles (high performance textiles) are in fact product concepts too.
Technology is often the heart not only of the product but also of communication and set-up (Kokuyo, Nurus).
People create culture: Sedus.
Sedus stands out among the largest stands: 1300 sqm of elegant exhibition on different levels with articulated paths underlined by dynamic lighting.
From outside the stand is identified by layering rings telling the company’s years (as in a tree) the sign of the rings also refers to the fingerprint that makes each man unique.
Through these elements the company expresses its “culture at work” built thanks to the contribution of the people “People create culture. Culture makes the difference. These people made it possible happen” and Sedus thanks these people.
Creativity in the world of work: Twinsnetwork.
The new branding is the result of a shared path of renewal, renewal, an international network of companies (Ivars, Brado, Stiwood e Metalmeccanica Alba) reference point in research, design and production of components in the furniture sector, presents its new brand image at Orgatec 2018. through a program of events and involving artists, designers and experts in speeches, presentations, live performances and participatory activities.
Intriguing game of mirrors: True Design.
Thanks to the central mirrors, the point of view from the corridor offers visitors a contemporary view of a “cut in half” table with two different finishes.
The charm of pleated paper: Molo.
Paper, only paper, for furnishings, walls, lamps. A green vision for ephemeral settings and flexible solutions designed by the Canadian company for work environments. The soft collection with honeycomb structure designed by Stephanie Forsythe + Todd MacAllen is at the same time a custom set up and a modular standard but customizable product.
Gigantic interlacing fabrics: Camira.
The installation, designed by Düsseldorf based design and architectural studio Raumkontor, is a real-life interpretation of the so-called “Weaving Shed” using gigantic interlacing fabrics in trendy warm colours and tactile textures. Warp combines with weft, to transform yarn into the woven fabrics.
Sustainable vision and “greenhouse effect”: Dieffebi.
The theme of the greenhouse, successfully presented at last Salone del Mobile, is back to express the sustainable vision of the company: it is a bright, large gazebo that welcomes trees and plants along with furnishing proposals. Transparent crystal screens delimit the different areas, giving a flee overview of the space.
