WOW! meets Giuliano Mosconi, CEO Tecno.

During Milano Design Week 2014, Tecno presented at its showroom at Caselli, the new W80 partition system, protected by five industrial patents. Giuliano Mosconi, president and CEO Tecno explains its main characteristics.

W80 partition system
A project developed by the Centro Progetti Tecno in collaboration with  architect Daniele Del Missier and Elliot Engineering & Consulting, with vast experience in the design of office environments, the W80 partition system is the latest result of Tecno’s research into the evolution of partition walls, which began in the 1960s with the E22 partition system, and continued into the ’80s with the introduction of glass as a partition material in the groundbreaking WB and WG systems, which soon became market leaders.
Between Art and Tecno
Tecno’s vocation is in constant tension between Art and Techno, the material and the immaterial, the world of pure creativity and that of industrial production, and this is confirmed in two new projects presented to coincide with the 2014 Salone exhibitions in Milan.
On the one hand, Tecno’s w80 partition system is so technically innovative that it is already protected by five industrial patents; on the other hand the project of collaboration with young artists from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts has used the unpredictable creativity of art to offer a series of new interpretations of the Vara T503 managerial desk designed for Tecno by Luca Scacchetti.
