At the first, wonderful an vibrant Aeron Hockey tournament organized by Cardex last night at Fonderia Napoleonica Eugenia in Milan, there was a really special feel to it.
It was attended by 16 architecture firms: architects and designers have been competing enthusiastically, and they enjoyed it.
Pietro Carullo e Paolo Della Salda opted for the former foundry, Fonderia Napoleonica Eugenia, a location full of charm, for an exclusive yet informal and all-emotion evening.
The two Milanese architects founders of Cardex – a company working in the contract field for over 20 years and distributor of some of the best furniture brands – proved that professionalism and competence do not exclude fun and sports passion.
Relaxing and networking were hosted inside, with fantastic live music, food and drinks.
But the energy was generated outside: the competition took place in the old courtyard and the Aeron Hockey tournament featured 16 teams of architects.
Mario Colombo, Sales Director Mediterranean at Herman Miller, who attended the event explains that Aeron Hockey has been promoted in the US by Herman Miller for charity purposes already for over ten years and it has turned into a league in Asia, too.
Thanks to Cardex, now this tradition of hockey played on office chairs – also proposed by Koelnmesse during last Orgatec- finally catched on in Italy, too, and given this successful debut more developments can be expected.
The winners are:
Coima Image (1st prize) and 967arch (2nd prize) were honored with decorations and very appreciated Aeron Chairs!
