From 19 to 24 September, Genoa welcomes the 59th edition of the International Boat Show, which attracts industry professionals and enthusiasts to an all-round experience: an event that becomes a container for 4 specialist events and involves the city with the outside event “Genoa in Blue“.
Following a confirmed trend, the exhibition is increasingly oriented on design, new technologies and multisensoriality.
The proposal of the 59th Genoa International Boat Show (over 200 thousand square meters on land and sea) will be developed into a Tech Trade Show for components and accessories, a Sailing Show (Sailing World), a Show for outboard products (Boating Discovery) and a Show dedicated specifically to Yachts and Superyachts.
This year’s theme, “The Capital of Yachting” is, first and foremost, a tribute to the Made in Italy brand and the very best of our country.
Design triumphs in the nautical sector.
Functionality and aesthetics are the pillars of the nautical project; design therefore plays a dominant role in this sector, as shown by some of the most important designers who give a unique touch to the interiors of the most cool yachts and sometimes propose innovative interior design solutions reinterpreting the classic living concepts of the boats.
Design also becomes a strong point for accessories, as shown by the “Selezione Accessorio 2019” award ceremony organized in collaboration with ADI (Association for Industrial Design) and IBI (International Boating Industry) which will take place in the Press Room (Friday 20, hours 14).
No coincidence that some important design brands are technical partners of the VIP Lounge Area of the Boat Show: Fontana Arte, Giorgetti together with Gaggenau, a company that for over 300 years has been synonymous with excellence in the world of cooking, expressing high aesthetic value, sophisticated design and high technology.
Food will enrich the exhibition with the Live Dinner -chef Luigi Taglienti- offered by Gaggenau and with the 5 gastronomic evenings “My Liguria on the table” organized during “Genoa in Blue”.
The “Sensorial Mood” and the emotions reserved for boat enthusiasts also extend to other senses thanks to other initiatives: for example “Artist’s Yacht”, live painting by Concetta De Pasquale on board of Amer Yachts (Monday 23 Hours 18.00, E27 dock).
Last, for the entire duration of the show, 500 liters of the new “Genoa” fragrance by Euthalia – inspired by the Liguria’s aromas suspended between land and sea – will be spread along a 2 km path in the heart of Ancient Genoa.
