The Energy Hub, at Generali Tower in Milan Citylife, is a space that goes far beyond the common fitness, relaxation and recreation concepts, that many large companies have already implemented.
It is not just a gym, but actually a wellbeing lab to promote healthy and sustainable lifestyles and enable physical and mental energy.
It is the most recent step of a structured and coherent welfare path that makes use of professional partners and also includes the quality of the workplace and a work-life balance oriented organization.
The statement by Maurizia Cecchet, Human Capital Director, Generali Group Investments Asset & Wealth Management, perfectly summarize the Energy Hub purpose and philosophy:
“We believe it is important to be able colleagues to feel good at work and find the right inspiration and energies to better focus the ambitious goals we want to achieve.
The wellbeing of employees is not only due to the activation of physical and mental energies, but also thanks to the prevention and knowledge of healthy life.
About it, we have planned workshops aimed at nutrition, sleep, aging population, and so on…”.
Generali has long implemented an articulated smart working project aimed at real flexibility and autonomy for employees, and conceived Energy Hub following prevention guidelines of the Ministry of Health.
To achieve this goal, the company take advantage of the skills of a professional doctors team; Med-Ex (a specialized company in prevention programs on correct lifestyles that has been following the preparation of Scuderia Ferrari drivers since 25 years ago) as well as the experience of Generali Welion, the integrated welfare company of the Generali Group that offers companies health and wellness services and cutting-edge welfare solutions.
The Energy Hub laboratory provides different kind of free courses for employees, including execises, physical and mental activation such as yoga and pilates and also initiatives that enhance the corporate policies of Diversity & Inclusion (new mothers, self defense and rehabilitation for disabilities).
But this is not a simple gym, as mentioned, this is above all a place of inclusion and collaboration, where to feel good, where to eat in a healthy and balanced way; a place of prevention which includes medical examinations and health assessment aimed at improving one’s lifestyle and personal and professional performance.
Energy Hub interior design.
Innovation is the emblem of Generali’s headquarters starting from the iconic Zaha Hadid Tower that houses it; the most advanced workplace design concepts are amplified in the Energy Hub.
The cozy café, for example, is a place for meetings and relaxation where you can enjoy healthy foods in the most suitable environment, perhaps swinging on the swing chairs and admiring the amazing view over the city.
For those seeking strong emotions, a Formula 1 simulator has been set up, offering the experience of a professional driver on the track and stimulating attention, motivation and decision making in challenging contexts.
They are really vibrant environments, but relaxing and comfortable.
Bright, thanks to the glass walls that allow light to enter from the outside; warm, thanks to light wood floors and boiserie and the domestic mood of furnishings in sober colors; dynamic, thanks to the curvilinear walls and the non-orthogonal set-up; attractive thanks to the exciting messages expressed in the large signage; biophilic, thanks to the strong presence of greenery, in the planters that seem to embrace sofas and walls and in the vegetable wall that encourages “Shape your Future”, a motto that better summarizes the philosophy of this wellbeing laboratory.
