Investing in smaller conference and collaboration rooms is one of the main trends of the nowadays open offices. To create a great sound experience in these kinds of environments, Plantronics, with Polycom, has designed Calisto 7200, with four highly-directional microphones, the Plantronics’s noise canceling technology and an intuitive, plug-and-play connectivity for both PCs and smartphones, to allow a flexible and agile use.
Small huddle rooms, for small and quick meetings, are one of the most needed environments in a dynamic open space-based working environment. As Ilaria Santambrogio, Plantronics’s Italian Country Manager, recalled a recent study by Nemertes found that “67% of IT leaders are evaluating now, or planning this year or next year, to invest in meeting room”.
To improve the sound experience in these dynamic environments, Plantronics has specifically designed along with Polycom, a new, sleek and compact speakerphone, Calisto 7200 for meeting rooms up to 6 people.
Calisto 7200 is the last device of the Calisto series and it can be used together with the other accessories to create an effective unified communications system (UC). The speakerphone uses four highly-directional microphones to pick up speech from every corner of the room, with a great reduction of the “cave effect” of room reverberance, while Plantronics’s noise canceling technology filters out undesirable background noises like keyboard typing and paper shuffling when nobody in the room is actively speaking.
To answer to the needs of more agile and flexible ways of working, Calisto 7200 is portable, with an intuitive plug-and-play connectivity system for both PC and smartphones.
