From 9th to 12th October, at Anteo spazioCinema of Milan, the second edition of Milano Design Film Festival is going on stage. Milano Design Film Festival is the first Italian film festival, fully dedicated to design and architecture topics, born from Antonella Dedini and Silvia Robertazzi’s project, sponsored and supported by City of Milan and sponsored by Milan Expo 2015 as well.
As well as the forty titles – including new productions, restored films and rediscovered works – thematic workshops, lectures and debates have been scheduled. All of these activities will be open to the public and free of charge.
MDFF will be held at the four rooms of Anteo spazioCinema in the heart of Brera, thus confirming the partnership with Brera Design District. “We have collected the enthusiasm and care of the public of the past edition – the curators say – and also for this we have chosen a more appropriate headquarters with a higher seating capacity, rooms of different size, a bookshop and a restaurant. For 2014 the goal is to create an appointment with Milan, to tell about our towns, the objects we surround with, the people who work to create designer products. Thus this is not a niche event, for a few people, but an opportunity to discover what lies behind the creative process. Hence the need of increasing seats for projections and a differentiated programming range. Today we communicate and inform through images in motion: a fast, empathic, sensorial communication. Capable of involving the audience and not just the insiders”.
The “K.I.S.S. Milan the places where we eat” contest – launched during the Salone Internazionale del Mobile week in Milan – will have an award time scheduled within the program.
