Operæ 2013: independent design in Turin.

The fourth edition of Operæ, the festival dedicated to independent and self-produced design, will be held in the premises of the Officine Grandi Riparazioni in Turin (Italy), from the 11th  to the 13th of October 2013.
Operæ is a meeting point, a dynamic cultural laboratory, a reference point for debates on creativity and business that combine aesthetic and functionality with digital technologies and new production patterns.
7000 sqm consisting of an exhibition space featuring almost 60 exhibitors, two arenas for conferences and debates, and two special areas for the numerous workshops scheduled. Hundreds of products displayed and sold, that all offer new solutions in small series, resulting from innovative materials, artisan know-how and cutting edge technologies. The program will be filled with events held by young promising designers coming from all around the world as well as by well-known personalities coming from the industrial, cultural and institutional world.
The renowned architect Michele De Lucchi will be opening the three-day event with a debate on design’s short supply chain, the importance of land and on the responsible use of resources.
