The new visions for the work are those that we have been talking for years on WOW: beyond the workplace towards the contract / hospitality due to the increasing importance of the third spaces in the smart working environments; but also an increasing focus on wellbeing, IoT technologies and smart materials, with a wide product range from furniture to flooring, from acoustic systems to lighting.
Always a human centered vision, a transition from Activity Based Working to People Based Working.
The opening towards Contract has given new life to the fair and will occupy three (10.1, 10.2 and 11.2) of the eight pavilions.
The exhibition project has attracted 700 companies from 40 countries worldwide, among them stands out Italy with 102 exhibitors (in 2016 they were 78): the top brands of Made in Italy will show scenographic set-ups and some companies have chosen the collective formula. Assufficio has identified an elegant and original formula to highlight the presence of member companies by the motto “The Italian Way”.

Back to the concreteness Kokuyo (hall 7.1) that, after the poetic visions of Nendo of the past editions, with the motto “360 ° Gliding” focuses on a task chair that rotates 360 °.
Press previews also show many high-backed sofas and armchairs, also in original variants such as the Biga by Luxy (hall 6) or the Snowsofa pleated sound-absorbing version by Caimi / Snowsound (hall 6.1).
The dynamic Novy Styl Group (hall 7.1) with the motto “Let’s #MakeYourSpace together” focuses on the concepts of multitasking, friendly, creativity and acoustics.
The demonstration that acoustic comfort in open plan is one of the main issues, is the cutting edge trend of phone booths and “shelters”, small interior architectures that provide good soundproofing inside and outside, for example Se: cube by Sedus, Collaborative Room by Estel, Mini by Fantoni.
