The chair, in particular, must be increasingly customizable, light and user friendly in movements.
se: air, the new Sedus chair to be launched at Orgatec (hall 8.1), uses advanced mechanisms and an innovative”filigree membrane” to meet these requirements and ensure ergonomics, comfort and smart support for users .
The name itself – se: air – suggests the feeling this swivel chair gives: maximum freedom of movement, ergonomic support and contact with breathable surfaces that give a sense of lightness, as if you were sitting in the air.
As Ernst Holzapfel, marketing manager at Sedus Stoll explains, se: air is the “first office chair completely covered with membrane which provides optimal support and fits the body like a glove.”
This high quality membrane, secured in the frame and without visible seams, offers different degrees of hardness in the backrest and in the seat to avoid heat accumulation at the pressure points and slipping around on the seat.
The minimalist design, characterized by organic shapes, conveys a sense of dynamism reinforced by the patented “Kinetic Swing” mechanism which automatically detects the user’s weight without manual adjustments.
The design also stands out for its sustainability and durability. The frame material is up to 50% recycled. The membrane is knitted for a better fit and to resist tearing.
The multifunctional armrests, on the other hand, are freely adjustable in several directions: in height, with forward / backward sliding and by rotating inwards / outwards).
For customizable ergonomics, it is also possible to add the optional lumbar support that strengthens the lower back and guarantees an ergonomic seat.
The color design of se: air applies the monochromatic concept: frame, membrane, armrests and wheels are offered in the same color, to be chosen from four palettes (Smart Balance, Urban Living, Soft Being and Multi Creation).
