The new Barrisol’s lamp collection is an original project presented at Euroluce 2015. Thanks to the stretch properties of the patented material Barrisol, Lovegrove and Piero Castiglioni have designed large-scale lighting objects, which illuminate and enhance the acoustic quality of the spaces that they inhabit.
Barrisol, leader company in the stretch ceiling field, presents a new collection of lamps made by the same soundproof material awarded with the Décibel d’Or 2014 Prize.
Inspired by the logic and beauty of nature Ross Lovegrove’s designs bring together technology, materials science and intelligent organic form, creating what many industrial leaders see as the new aesthetic expression for the 21st Century. Using the same material, his friend Piero Castiglioni designed “1954”, paying an homage to his uncles Achille and Piergiacomo Castiglioni who, in that year, projected a specific lighting system created for the X Triennale industrial design exhibition, including the creation of huge canvas bells, used to create a huge «lighted ceiling», to diffuse light without apparent shadow.
Barrisol system allows to recreate that original shapes, combining the technology of the Barrisol Translucent White Venus membrane with the integration of new generation LED, offering a perfect light diffusion and a perfect color rendering.
