It’s a somewhat naif result, let’s face it, probably architects and office furniture producers, will shudder at the sight, but it’s original and amusing idea, that involves the employees and gives space to new ideas. It is a true proof of fantasy and ability to maximize financial resources.
According to this principle and with the aim of organizing a real moment of team working, Subito.it, the largest classified advertisements website in Italy, has involved its employees in a nice and unusual initiative, in occasion of the new working spaces decoration. The company invited them to personally choose the furnishing and decorations for the meeting rooms, starting a team play. The staff has been divided into six different groups. Each one of them has been assigned a € 1.000 budget and one of the six meeting rooms.
The meeting rooms had previously been named according to each of the six macro-categories included in the website: Vehicles, Electronics, Job, Real Estate, Sports & Hobbies, Home and Personal. The decoration, inspired by the given category, had to be realized by arranging objects and furniture bought exclusively on Subito.it.
This idea came from CEO Daniele Contini “This has been a real amusing and educational experience, my colleagues have shown great enthusiasm and spirit of collaboration. The success is not only clear from an aesthetic point of view – now we have extremely creative, stimulating and fresh looking meeting rooms – but also from the greater sense of belonging to the company we have achieved. Today we can surely say that these are “our” offices”.
