A new network of businesses to promote and support the furnishing chain of Venice, through synergistic collaborations pooling innovation and skills: this is the aim behind the establishment of VEDE (Venice Excellence Design). The new network gathers together a range of businesses seeking to optimise the manufacturing excellence of Triveneto in design, by creating a collective identity giving value and strength to the individual businesses.
The construction of a single cultural research and design platform takes shape following the need by the businesses to go beyond a “district”-based production model and to redefine the very concept of territory as an element of cultural, as well as economic identity.
As its “opening act”, the VEDE business network will be débuting as Supporter Sponsor of the 14th International Architecture Exhibition at the Venice Biennale, presenting its products to furnish the Giardini and Arsenale.
The goal is to create a new development model able to promote local excellence through the organisation of a system able to optimise the synergistic relations between businesses on an international level. The operations also involves the creation of a collective mark able to explain the connection with the Venetian territory and communicate its specificity in terms of manufacturing know-how.
The subscribing businesses (Arredoplast, Casamania, Dieffebi, Doimo Salotti, Elmar, Estel Group, Idea Group, La Palma, Palazzetti, Venezia Home Design) represent the highest quality achieved on the territory in the furnishing chain – from office to home furniture, kitchens and contract. The aim is to implement a form of mutual collaboration and coordination that will enable the individual businesses to renew their business culture and compete more effectively on the global markets.
The VEDE program involves the essential collaboration with the Fondazione di Venezia, a strategic partner for the communication and development of the initiative, with the universities (IUAV and Cà Foscari) of Venice; they will stand alongside VEDE in searching out new opportunities for entertaining profitable relations under the scope of the territorial social-cultural promotion.
