Gianmaria Mezzalira, Founder & CEO at Mezzalira Investment Group explains the strategies and the visions behind the recent acquisition of Sitland. The integration with the other companies of the Group allows MIG to expand its possibilities to break worldwide into the furniture market.
The high competition level of the furniture industry can be better faced through the strength of a big group. Sitland, the Italian leading manufacturer of office and contract seating, has joined the MIG Group and this operation will surely increase the synergies among the other historic brands of the Group: Jesse (home furniture), Sinetica (office furniture) and Rotaliana (design lighting).
Sitland offers a wide selection of office seating, collectivity, multifunctional, chairs, sofas and armchairs for contract and waiting areas or for the home, armchairs for auditoriums and theaters together with a collection of furnishing accessories such as poufs and design coffee tables.
Sitland represents a successful history of an Italian industry that has been able to combine a deep stylistic know-how with innovative industrial and technological processes. The company was established in 1977 in Vicenza, the city of Andrea Palladio in the heart of Veneto, which is a territory that has already hosted many successful stories. This new operation will be tied precisely to this territory, where the identity of MIG was born.
An acquisition that aims to widen the MIG Group’s furniture’s offer even more:
“Since the first day I joined the world of furniture, I have always heard about Sitland. An important brand in this sector which is recognized for its design, quality and reliability. Joining the Group will strengthen the products range and the production and distribution synergies on the one hand and on the other hand it will create new opportunities for Sitland to establish itself also in contract projects, where the complete furnishing solution is the key element. I am taking on this new challenge in the design field with a further Italian excellence.”
At Salone del Mobile Sitland presented L’O by Dorigo Design.
L’O is a modular sofa which, thanks to the combination of five different modules available, makes it possible to create endless furnishing.
The seat and back of each individual module all boast a single distinguishing feature. The high-resistance tubular steel base supports seats made of flexible polyurethane to offer superior comfort and durability. It is available with various upholstery, from fabrics to fine leathers.
