The bookshelf can undoubtedly be considered the protagonist of the workplace 2022. Sedus, as always sensitive to office design trends, has launched se:matrix – a product that offers versatility and customized solutions – in its stand “The Personal Touch” at the latest Orgatec, where there was a vast range of proposals of this type of furniture that mark the end of the open space and instead suggest ecosystems of dynamic environments in mutual osmosis.
In the fluid and hybrid office, the bookshelf also evolves and expands its functions. Se:Matrix is not just an overlapping of shelves to contain books and objects, but also acts as a dividing modular element capable of separating areas and workstations in a “permeable” way by playing on a matrix that allows openings and closures, transparency and opacity.
The base is made up of three standard modules, which can be combined each other thanks to hooking elements to configure different compositions, linear, angular or T-shaped, always with variable height and length.
The shelving module can be open or equipped with containers that close with a lock or with blackboards and monitors for video conferencing designed for environments dedicated to collaboration.
Electrification can easily be conducted through the room and power adjacent workstations.”
In fact, in each bookshelf there is a functional module that allows the wiring, power supply and positioning of electrical sockets.
The profiles, PET panels and melamine surfaces can be selected in the color that best matches the surrounding environment, giving a warm and homely touch.
The harmonious color palette of the se:matrix shelving system fits perfectly into the four color trends identified by Sedus (Smart Balance, Urban Living, Soft Being and Multi Creation).
