
Assufficio, the Italian association of office furniture manufacturers, made a useful white paper with suggestions for the workplace layout in compliance with social distancing in compliance with current rules, ergonomic aspects and above all social distancing. It is entitled ““Layout ufficio e distanziamento sociale. Linee guida per la disposizione dei mobili per ufficio nel periodo post covid-19”. It is a very useful tool for returning back to the office in compliance with the physical distancing imposed by the pandemic.
The document, which was recognized by the ATS Milano Città Metropolitana, is aimed at small, medium and large companies and the Public Administration.
As specified in the preface, the document does is not a complete guide to workplace design, but offers practical indications, with draws, considering various types and dimensions of furniture.
It is highlighted that minimal precautions in the arrangement of workstations may be sufficient to guarantee the safety of people and compliance with the anti-covid directives and protocols issued by the competent authorities.
The document underlines that have been leaved out other fundamental aspects related for example to ventilation / air quality, to the hygienic / sanitary performance of materials or to the use of personal protective equipment that deserve another type of analysis.
