The city in the office. The historical districts of Milan inspire the Milanese CBRE headquarters combining open space, home feeling and a pervasive technology supporting the business. The working environment reflects the company’s global strategy “Workplace 360” inspired by a home design that foster innovation without abandoning comfort and corporate identity.
The CBRE offices in Milan, under WELL Certification, together with the offices in Madrid, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, Paris, Barcelona, are based on a complete renewal on the Ways of Working in the company.
Alberto Cominelli, Head of Project Management Italy at CBRE, explains in the video-interview the main concepts of the “Workplace 360” global strategy implemented in the CBRE offices:
Activity Based Offices to host non-assigned hot desks, great use of the collaborative spaces in benefit of the sharing of ideas, paperless policy, and widespread technology to support the business and the goal of employees’ wellbeing.
Brera, Navigli, and the fashion’s quadrilateral: the map of Milan is materialized inside the CBRE offices through colors, flooring systems (Interface), and key concepts as uniqueness, versatility, and ability to innovate that connects CBRE way of thinking to the ones of the Milanese fashion industry.
The 2500 sqm of the headquarters shares with the city of Milan also the dynamism and the exploitation of a quality design: the not assigned Kinnarps‘s sit-stand working desk with Steelcase seats bookable via smartphone or the six meeting rooms equipped with Sedus conference table divided by wooden-structured glass partitions by Citterio, as well as the phone booths, are a good example of it.
Mobility is also fostered by some peculiarities as the possibility to recharge your smartphone through the energy produced by pedaling while working.
Moreover, as a city, the headquarters offers recreational areas as the game area on the panoramic terrace (indoor and outdoor green design byHW Style), and space dedicated to the wellbeing of the workers as the Wellness room where it is possible to book physiotherapy sessions as well as massages during the lunch break or after work, doing some yoga or fitness lessons, with the possibility to hire a personal trainer.
Furthermore, the hubs on the first and second floor offer the possibility of a good coffee break.
Combining different inspiration both from home design and urban spaces, the CBRE offices meet the contemporary trends of innovation, wellbeing, and sustainable mobility as ways through which motivate the staff, mixing the individual needs with the everyday working life of the company
