A persistent rhythm to give energy and positive emotions: this is the office for the “DJs for one-night” architects and interior designers of Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia, GBPA Architects and piuarch of the Milan DJ Arch 2018 at the Herman Miller’s showroom. As in the 2017’s edition, we asked them “if the office was a music, what would it be?”
The “music of the nowadays office environment” must have a persistent rhythm that communicates energy and passion: this was the message of the architects and interior designers that turned into DJs for one night and animated the DJ Arch’s event at Herman Miller’s showroom on the 18th September.
According to Alfonso Femia, if the office was a music, it would be a Mediterranean music, with a fluid, constant and persistent rhythm that makes creates engagement throughout its pace, mixing different ingredients and fostering happiness with a touch of melancholy: the same feeling we have when we look at the horizon and at the future.
On the other hand, the “office sounds” needs to take something from the electronic music as Anna Zauli of piuarch said: the use of a neat and minimal furniture and design to create the right pace.
Rhythm is synonymous with energy and passion, so the office has also a heavy metal side, as Chiara Tesoro and Francesca Bettetini of GBPA Architects said, an enveloping kind of music that completely take you away with his positive vibrations.
