“Il faut cultiver son propre bureau comme un jardin” (You have to cultivate your own office like a garden) is the poetic inspiration for Manerba’ s Flowered Office, the installation by Raffaella Mangiarotti and Ilkka Suppanen in the arcade of Palazzo Litta. On the occasion of Milano Design Week as part of The Litta Variations / 4th movement. (Corso Magenta 24 from 17 to 22 April).
Flowered Office is the vision of Manerba through the design by Shane Schneck who designed the new Apollo desk system, and by Mangiarotti & Suppanen, designer of the well-known Undecided Collection. The set-up is completed by Litta tables.
The common denominator of all products is the concept of wireless: no cables art all for Undecided and Litta Collection, thanks to the hidden rechargeable battery useful for ours devices that ensures aesthetics, functionality and reconfigurability; while Apollo, hides the cables inside its legs.
Apollo.
The name is a tribute to the mythical spaceship and to the landing system, called to mind by the inclination and the shape of the table legs
“The approach to designing a new bench system for Manerba is defined by intuition and innovative materials” says Shane Schneck, who first thought of how to hide the unsightly and annoying “cable tangle” with which we all deal every day.
The C profile of the legs provides a space to tuck away the cable and is directly connected to the work top. Soft touch laminate work surface together with natural and sustainable, cork panels will provide a tactile and acoustic dampening experience.
To equip the cork panel, Schneck has designed a series of colored containers of various shapes and sizes, made of 100% recyclable aluminum.
Apollo system also provides electric height adjustment of the desk with a telescopic system for ergonomic sit-stand workstations.
