Among the many proposals of acoustic solutions now marketed, Caimi Brevetti is the only company that can boast of an efficient and certified technology, as Snowsound, underlying a first-rate design.
Constant research and an inexhaustible wish of exploring the universe of acoustics can once again produce Snowsound applications with different and always amazing identities and looks.
So many concepts extend the Snowsound range at Salone del Mobile and SuperstudioPiù and confirm the collaboration with renowned designers (Meda, Aksu), and some new creative synergy (Trimarchi) look like being fertile.
Botanica, design by Mario Trimarchi.
Botanica by Mario Trimarchi, certainly starts from the biophilic concept; however, after the poetic and formal reworking, the starting image – the plant – is “filtered” by design and lives like a memory, bringing other suggestions.
“When you stand under the canopy of a big tree, which delicately filters the sun and delightfully colours shadows and lights, you bask in the silence of nature. I designed Botanica with this in mind” says Mario Trimarchi and continues “The branches climb slowly, precisely, along the walls and extend horizontally, invading on the space of the ceiling. The space created is a visually soothing and refined interior, which invites us to speak softly and enjoy the rhythm of our own heartbeat. Just like if we were under a tree”.
Botanica is composed of metal structures that recall long, slender branches and an abundance of soft, fabric covered leaves that achieve superior sound-absorbing performance thanks to Caimi’s research in acoustic design.
It is available in three versions: wall, ceiling-mounted, free-standing.
Snowsound and the projects by Gio Ponti.
The Snowsound acoustic technology is constantly declined by Caimi Brevetti in innovative solutions, for example the new Snowsound-Art collection by Gio Ponti: not only the artworks panels (see WOW! cover story), but also objects designed by the Great Master: Obelisco and TL.
Obelisco is a free-standing sound-absorbing element, 180 cm tall, upholstered with completely removable Snowsound Fiber, supported by an internal structure in polyester and steel. The obelisk recalls a theme very dear to Gio Ponti, which often makes an appearance in his projects.
TL (Time-Life) is a three-dimensional ceiling-mounted sound-absorbing elements, created with Snowsound technology, originally conceived by Gio Ponti for the auditorium of the Time-Life Building in New York. Just like the 1959 design, TL can be manufactured with or without integrated LED lights.
