The world-famous architect Zaha Hadid, beloved yet often controversial for her sometimes too “deconstructive” projects, has certainly given a remarkable contribution to the architecture community and she will remain one of the most important architects of our century.
She dies at the age of 65 from a heart attack. Her thousands of projects include the MAXXI museum in Rome, one of her most successful works. Alas, the first woman winner of the Pritzker Price won’t see the end of the Generali tower (nick-name The Twisted), also an important Italian project now under way at Citylife, Milan, where she had already designed an amazing “fluid”residential estate.
